National Construction Appreciation Week is Sept. 16-20, a period “celebrating the people who build America.”
Across Southwest Florida, and here at Target Roofing, we have plenty of reasons to celebrate. Locally, 8.2% of the working population is employed in the construction industry, doubling the national rate of 4.1%. Construction is the fourth-largest occupational group locally, according to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, trailing only office/administrative support, sales and food preparation/service.
The U.S. Census Bureau ranked the Cape Coral-Fort Myers metropolitan area as the seventh fastest-growing metro area in the nation. Construction workers – literally – are building Southwest Florida from the ground up, and there’s no indication that this period of growth is about to slow.
As a company, Target Roofing continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Our company was No. 17 on Business Observer’s list of the fastest-growing businesses on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
How did we do it?
“The region’s population growth obviously plays a role, but it’s more about our employees,” said President Casey Crowther. “Target Roofing has built a team of the most dedicated, passionate roofing professionals that you’ll ever find. Much of our company’s growth is repeat business, and that’s a testament that our team is getting the job done!”
National Construction Appreciation Week is sponsored by I Build America, a national movement focused on building pride in the construction industry, educating the public on the value of construction and recruiting the next generation of construction professionals.
