It takes a special kind of roofer, and roofing company, to work on high-rise and mid-rise condominiums.

Not only must individual workers have no fear of heights, a given in this industry, but they also must have access to two essential elements:

  • Safety programs
  • Equipment

At Target Roofing & Sheet Metal, safety always comes first. That’s not just a slogan – it’s our reality. Each of our employees must complete rigorous safety training programs, and we contract with an independent company to offer additional safety instruction and recommendations. Roofers and managers have access to continuous on-the-job safety programs.

While many companies fear safety inspections, we look forward to visits from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. In fact, we contact OSHA to schedule site reviews so inspectors can offer additional safety recommendations before our employees start working. That’s helped us develop policies and procedures that keep our employees, our customers and our equipment safe.

Among our expanding fleet of company-owned trucks are boom truck cranes capable of lifting heavy equipment and roofing supplies onto the roofs of high-rise buildings. This not only expedites project timelines, but also causes less inconvenience to residents since we’re not having to transport supplies through their elevators. Owning our own cranes means we don’t have to wait for a rental to become available, which can take weeks or even months during peak times.

Target Roofing has completed roofing installations and repairs at dozens of high-rises in Southwest Florida, and has become the go-to roofing company for condominiums and towers along the beach. Some of our projects include Mirage on the Gulf and Admiralty House on Marco Island, Echelon in Sarasota, Aqua II at Pelican Isle in Naples and Seaglass at Bonita Bay in Bonita Springs.
