Lee BIA Builders Care named Target Roofing & Sheet Metal as its 2019 “Contractor Partner of the Year,” an honor recognizing the company’s longstanding commitment to helping residents in the community it serves.
Builders Care is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners, and their families, who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means.
Target Roofing has supported Builders Care since the company’s inception, providing both monetary contributions as well as pro bono roofing services. Target Roofing has built wheelchair ramps to improve access for residents, as well as a major project in 2019 replacing the entire roof on the home of John Morgan, a North Fort Myers resident who is physically disabled and lacked resources to fix his deteriorating roof.
“Mr. Morgan’s roof was warped and leaking, and it could have crumbled at any time,” said Target Roofing President Casey Crowther. “When a neighbor is in need, you help them. It’s certainly gratifying to win this award from Builders Care, but I’m especially encouraged how our team came together to provide safe, functional living environments for those in need.”
Target Roofing also was recognized by the Naples Daily News for its work on the Morgan project, earning compliments in the editorial board’s “Kudos” section.
The Builders Care award capped off a year of incredible support for philanthropic causes, which included meals for veterans and homeless residents, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Florida Gulf Coast University and numerous additional charitable organizations:
